Dear Ryan,

Sorry for the delay. I just got a reply from the developer. 

You are right, this is a bug in the code that needs to be solved. The fix will
take some time and will be released in a patch. 

In the meantime, going up to 12keV is probably not worth it anyhow. The
effective area of 
XMM drops fast beyond 10keV. For now you could just use 9999 in your call. I
know its not
ideal but you could at least look at the output and asses what you get.
