Hello,

I am following the Snowden's cookbook
https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/xmm/esas/cookbook/xmm-esas.html

but in the last task I got an error message:

adapt smoothingcounts=50 detector=0 thresholdmasking=0.02 binning=2 elow=400

I noticed that I haven't got the comb-prot-im-sky-400-6000.fits file.

Going back, I haven't the files mos1S002-prot-im-det-400-6000.fits and
mos2S003-prot-im-det-400-6000.fits.....

However, when running "proton" task and "rot-im-det-sky" I have NO error message
as shown below.

I am using the latest SAS version xmmsas_20190531_1155 and working on MKW9,
ObsID 0091140401.

Thanks in Advance,

Tatiana

Dear Tatiana,

I can see that you already get an error message in the tasks you mentioned:

proton:

> SPB5THIC
> STATUS FTOPEN = 104
> mos1S002-obj-full-grp.pi

and rot-im-det-sky:

> STATUS FTOPEN = 104
> ROT-DET-SKY POSITION 09
> mos1S002-prot-im-det-400-6000.fits

both errors indicating you are missing a file.

If you check the logs of previous ESAS tasks, you will probably see an error
message that would indicate why you don't you have mos1S002-obj-full-grp.pi.

Dear Ignacio,

Thank you for your answer. It seemes that it is not recognising
cheese-bands command:

[VitoriaRegia18:0091140401/Snowden/ODF] Tatiana% cheese-bands

dist=40.0 clobber=1 elowlist="700 2000" ehighlist="1250 7000"
cheese-bands: Command not found.

Dear Tatiana,

Sorry for the late reply, I was away.

This task disappeared a few SAS versions ago. Just use cheese.
