Hello,
I am analyzing data with id 0610980101 with v11 of sas - extended source
analysis. I cleaned data as described in the extended source manual and while
running mos-spectra I get an error below. Is the error in farith related to
DssFitsWrite? I read that DssFitsWrite means that:

"The data subspace indexing has become to large to fit into keywords of the from
nDSVALn (keywords can be on more than 8 characters). Thus no filter information
can be written to the FITS header for the filter in question.
corrective action: No data subspace information is written for the given
filter."

However I don't understand what it means. Is it dangerous? How can I fix that?

Best wishes
Anna

Dear Anna,

The eveselect message is just a warning.

The error could be related to the way SAS v11 treats now the masks. Without
going into the details, shortly after the release of SAS v11, we found that
ESAS had not taken into account this change. This has been fixed now and is
ready to be released. The patch should come out within the next few days.
The error you get seems to be related to this. I would recommend to wait a
few days until the patch is released and then try again and let us know if
you still have problems.

Regarding the other error you reported, we have an answer from the ESAS
developers as to what might be the cause of the problem. I will reply
to the corresponding email once I put all the information together.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your patient.

Regards,

Ignacio de la Calle
