Hi,
I have a list of coordinates (RA,Dec in degrees) in an ascii tab-separated
file.
I try to see if some XMM-Newton observations are available.
The validation system tells me the file is empty.
It is not empty.
I guess the format is wrong? but i cannot find any instruction on how to format
the input file.
It would be nice to show an example in the form, so user know immediately how to
prepre the input file.
Thank you!

Herve

Hi Herve,

we are sorry that there is a bug in the help text for this function. We
hope to have it fixed for next release. The formats accepted for the positions
in your list are:

10.412345,-22.683346 (decimal hours)

or:
11:12:55.01, +01:50:27.0

Best regards,

Nora

Hi Herve,

I am afraid that when your list of targets is large, with more than about 400
positions the validation function crashes and you get the message that the list
is empty. Until this is fixed please divide the list in shorter lists to do the
search.

Cheers,

Nora
