Subject: Planned observations
To: xmmhelp@xmm.vilspa.esa.es
Dear xmmhelp,

I am thinking of making an proposal in the IR simultaneously with an XMM
observation. It would be a star-forming region. Since I would have to
submit the proposal by 1st of April (ESO), the observation would by from
Sept 2005 until March 2006. Are the XMM observations already planned for
later than September 2005? If yes, were can I have access to it?
Thanks for everything,
Bruno Silva

Dear Dr. Silva,

the period from September 2005 to April 2006 is almost completely covered by
the XMM-Newton AO4 (Announcement of Opportunity 4). If you intend to present a
new proposal for an observation to be carried on during this time span, you
ought to present a proposal for the next AO, specifying all the time constraints
in the proposal justification.

The next AO will be published this summer.
