Dear XMM Help Desk,

I have sent an email regarding the XMM-Newton Long Term Plan for AO-3
(http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/external/xmm_sched/advance_plan.shtml).
I sent this email to XMMPI@xmm.vilspa.esa.es last week, but have not
heard any response yet.

Only one of my three targets (obs id: 020422 03) appeard in the
table at the URL for the XMM-Newton Long Term Plan for AO-3.
Two other pointings (020422 01 and 02) do not appear in the table.
I am wondering if this schedule is still not sompleted, and
about when should I expect to hear from XMM about this schedule.

Thank you very much!
Serena Kim

Hi,

I have just checked the advance plan URL, and found that only
one (020422 03 CG4SA101) of my three targets appears in
a table of Revs. 0774-0777 / 2004-02-29 to 2004-03-08
(http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/external/xmm_sched/advance_plan.shtml).

I could not find the other two observations (Ob# 01 and 02) in
any table...

Will this schedule be filled with more observations in the near
future?

Best wishes,
Serena Kim

Dear Serena,

as described in the last XMM-Newton News, in which
the advanced planning was announced (see
http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/external/xmm_news/news_list/xmm_news_037.shtml)
only 50% of the allocated targets are considered
in the advanced planning.

Are your targets coordinated or in any other
respect time critical? (In this case the targets
should be listed in the advanced planning).

We inform every PI when one of his targets is
scheduled which is 2-4 weeks before the observation
will take place. The scheduling is described at:
http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/external/xmm_sched/sched_tour/index.shtml.
The PIs are informed within step 3.

With best regards
Norbert
