Subject: Issues with EMCHAIN and EPCHAIN
Full_Name: Edison Murairi
Submission from: (NULL) (193.147.152.102)

Dear,

I am working with SAS software. I downloaded CCF files using ftp. I set up the
CCFPATH, the CCF and the ODF path in my environments variables. I ran ODFINGEST
and then I changed the ODF path to point the summary file generated by
ODFINGEST.

However, the tasks EMCHAIN AND EPCHAIN end with errors. I have recorded the
outputs of these two commands on log files which are copied to this message.

I would like to ask how I can go about solving these issues.

Best regards

Dear Edison Murairi,

First of all, apologies for the delay in the answer. We have experienced
problems in our mail system and some messages have arrived with a long delay.

Some of the errors you quote seems to be due to a corrupted Summary file:

* atthkgen: error (UnexpectedEOF), Unexpected EOF in line #383 of ODF summary
file `/home/edison/Kes_17_XMM_Newton/workplace/2956_0764110101_SCX00000SUM.SAS'

Please delete the file 2956_0764110101_SCX00000SUM.SAS, and start again:

set SAS_ODF to the directory with the odf
run 'odfingest'
and set SAS_ODF to the summary file.

Let us know if you still have problems after doing this,

Regards,

Rosario Gonzalez-Riestra
