Subject: running SAS command
Full_Name: JAEWOONG JUNG
Submission from: (NULL) (193.147.152.102)

Hi
I'm Jaewoong Jung, a grad student of University of Alaska Fairbanks.
I'm trying to use XMM data, and so I'm learning how to use SAS.
I installed it, initialized it (ran setsas.sh) , and set ODF and CCFPATH
variables, but I'm stuck with the next step.
The SAS handbook tells me to run cifbuild, but I'm not sure how to run it.
It looks like I should just type 'cifbuild' in terminal (I'm using MacOS), but
when I do that, it syas command not found.
I'm not accustomed to Mac interface so maybe I forgot something.
Can you help me?

Dear Jaewoong Jung

The error "command not found" seems to indicate that SAS has not been properly
initialised.

Please have a look to the instructions given in the "SAS start-up" thread at

https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/xmm-newton/sas-thread-startup
