Hey Rosario,

Thank you so much for your reply to my email. I had already thought of this=
 potential issue, and had rerun odfingest, but the same error persists. I h=
ave attached the .SAS file causing the issue. I've also attached the ccf.ci=
f file in case there is an issue with this file. Also, my state paths are:

SAS_CCFPATH =3D /home/dylan/test_data/7-8/ODF/ccf.cif
SAS_CCF =3D /home/dylan/test_data/7-8/ODF
SAS_ODF =3D /home/dylan/test_data/7-8/ODF/0070_0123700101_SCX00000SUM.SAS

I wasn't sure, but do let me know if there is an issue with having the ccf.=
cif file and .SAS file being in the same directory.

Thank you very much,

-Dylan Pare

Dear Dylan Pare,

The most likely reason is that the SUM.SAS file is corrupted.
Please delete it and re-run 'odfingest'.

Let us know if this does not solve the problem,

Regards

Dear Dylan

I am afraid that I cannot reproduce your problem, i.e. I have generated the
SUM.SAS file and run emproc without problems. The SUM.SAS file I get has 13783
lines.

There is an issue with the files you have sent me: the ccf.cif file is empty.

Also, in the definition of the environment variables you have set

SAS_CCFPATH = /home/dylan/test_data/7-8/ODF/ccf.cif

This is not correct,SAS_CCFPATH must point to the directory where the
calibration files (*.CCF) are.

In summary, I would suggest to start from scratch, in an empty directory,
following the steps described in this thread:

https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/xmm-newton/sas-thread-startup

Regards,

Rosario
