Dear XMM Helpdesk,

I have been working through the SAS tutorials and for the EPIC analysis and
primer (section 6) I have encountered an issue with the emproc task. I have been
using the Lockman Hole data set extracted from the XMM science archive for this
tutorial. The error message I receive from emproc (as detailed in the ticket
title) indicates that there is an issue with line #381 of the ODF summary file.
This ODF summary was produced using the odfingest task after producing the
ccf.cif file using the cifbuild task. The SAS_ODF and SAS_CCFPATH variables were
updated to reference these files. Though the emproc task runs with this error,
it does not produce any output data products. I get the same behavior when
attempting to run epproc on the tutorial data. I don't seem to be able to attach
the summary file to this email, otherwise I would have included it here.

Thank you very much,

-Dylan Pare

Dear Dylan Pare,

The most likely reason is that the SUM.SAS file is corrupted.
Please delete it and re-run 'odfingest'.

Let us know if this does not solve the problem,

Regards
