Hello,

I am running the "cheese" task but I am getting the following messages:

dyld: Library not loaded:

The task is adressing the wrong PATH to the library:
/Volumes/SAS/sasbuild/build/dhcp-10-66-152-162/GNU_CC_CXX_6.2/reltrack_relgfortran6.2_6.2_build/lib/
and it is under SAS/xmmsas_20170719_1539/lib/

I was wondering how to fix it.

I am using a macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.6

SAS release: xmmsas_20170719_1539-16.1.0
and CIAO 4.9

Dear Tatiana,

This problem may be caused by the System Integrity Protection (SIP) that is
implemented in Mac OS Sierra and later versions. Please disable it as explained
here:

https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/xmm-newton/sas-watchout-1600-sip

and check whether your issue is fixed.

On a side note, we always recommend to use the latest version of SAS for data
analysis, which is currently version 18.0.

Dear Tatiana,

From the log you sent it looks like SAS is failing to find certain files.
Firstly, in the first error message your SAS_ODF variable is not properly set.
The later errors refer to all "clean" files.

Could you please check that the environmental variable SAS_ODF is pointing to
the correct *SUM.SAS file, and whether the "clean" fits files do actually exist
and are located in the proper directory?

Dear Jacob,

I noticed about SAS_ODF, but I usually ork with the reprocessed files from
the XMM-Newton plataform. It runs "emproc" and "epproc". In this way I
don't have the ODF directory or the *SUM.SAS files.
That was the point. I was wondering if I have to have it in order to
proceed with "cheese" task and Snowden pipeline.

Dear Tatiana,

Not sure if, when you speak about reprocessed files, you are referring to the
PPS files provided in the archive. Please note that to extract optimal science
from any given dataset it is better to reduce the data from the ODF. In this
case you ensure that you are using up-to-date calibration files. Note that the
PPS are bulk-reprocessed every few years so the calibration of the products
might be outdated.

Also, the task "cheese" and others in the esas package are a somewhat closed
environment within SAS. They are intended to be run sequentially since there are
plenty of files that are renamed in a certain way in the process.

We encourage you to start your analysis from scratch. The SAS threads here:

https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/xmm-newton/sas-threads

may help you on that, since they are step-by-step procedures.

Hi Jacobo,

When I mentioned the reprocessed files I ment the button on the right after
"Save Table as", "Send table to", "Repro cess". Using this button I get the
Event lists and not the ODF. Since it is from the XMM-Newton archieve, I
assumed that it used the updated calibration files.
However, If I understood correctly, I cannot run chees task without the ODF.
