Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a Physics student and a new user of SAS software. I need to make a ccf.cif
file but when I run the command cifbuild, I get the error:

cifbuild: error (NoODFspecified), No name for ODF summary file/ODF directory
specified and environment variable `SAS_ODF' is not set either - cannot
continue

I have followed previous discussions on this issue but without understanding
what my problem could be. Therefore, I would like to reach out for help. My
commands are copied below:

[emm712@eluvium ODF]$ ls -a
. 1046_0303100201.TAR

Dear Edison Murairi,

It seems that you have not defined the environment variable SAS_ODF...

You will find all the information related to the setup of SAS in the

"SAS start-up" thread, at

https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/xmm-newton/sas-thread-startup

Please follow the steps indicated in the thread, and let
us know if you still have problems

Dear Rosario Gonzalez-Riestra,

Thank you for your reply. I had modified the SAS_ODF and everything worked.

Best,

Edison Murairi
