Hello,

i am trying to produce some images using the ESAS task. The task emchain works
just fine producing the corresponding files but the epchain does not. It shows
the following message:

> epchain
-bash: /usr/local/SAS/xmmsas_20170112_1337/bin/epchain: /usr/local/bin/perl: bad
interpreter:
No such file or directory

I am using the SAS version 16.0 on a Mac OS 10.11

Cheers,

J.

Dear Jesus,

epchain (as well as emchain) are perl scripts, and their headlines are modified

during the SAS installation to interface correctly with your local Perl
environment.
For SAS 16.0, a patch was released, including epchain-8.76.1, which is installed
after having performed the general installation.

If you have run the patch, then your epchain is the new one with the headline
not changed; you can check this by comparing the headlines of epchain and
emchain
(in the $SAS_DIR/bin), that should be different.
In this case, please change by hand the first line of the script epchain,
replacing
it by the same first line of the script emchain, as described in our watchout
page:

https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/xmm-newton/sas-watchout-1600-epchain

Please let us know if it does not work, or if you have not run the patch, and
we will further investigate the problem.

    Kind regards,
        Lucia
