Subject: cifbuild not found on virtual SAS
Full_Name: Furkan Semih Dundar
Submission from: (NULL) (193.140.194.68)

Dear XMM-NEWTON Team,

I installed virtual SAS environment on my Mac Book Pro. I initialized HEASoft
and SAS. However when I run the "images script" for Hydra A (just a sample case)
the script says that the "cifbuild" is not found.

When I write "cifbu" and press tab key to autocomplete it cannot find cifbuild.

Is there any other initialization process I should complete or is this a general
bug in virtual sas environment?

Best regards,
Furkan Semih Dundar.

Dear Furkan Semih Dundar,

Is the command sasversion running? Did you follow the instructions at:
https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/xmm-newton/sas-installation ?

Please send us the log of all your SAS installation steps for us to try to
understand the problem.

Best regards,

Nora

Dear Nora,

I am using the virtual sas environment on my mac book pro. I use ORACLE =
Virtual Box for virtualization. I attach a screenshot of initialization =
of sas.

Cifbuild is not found. If there is a command as =E2=80=9Csasversion=E2=80=9D=
 it does not exist either.

Hope this information would be useful.

Best regards,
Furkan Semih.

Dear F. Semih Dundar

As specified in the instructions the command to export the path and the
variables defined in setsas.sh is .. /setsas.sh. and not .sh.

Please try this and inform us if you still encounter problems.

Nora
