I see references to XMM SAS being completed by May, but can't find it anywhere.
Am I missing it, or is it just behind schedule. Thanks!

Dear Chris,

Yes, unfortunately the release of the first SAS version for
Mac OS X is quite delayed. There are several reasons for
this:

1) the installation under OS X caused many more problems
than expected
2) the SAS team informed me that binaries have been produced
some weeks ago and are currently under testing (here we
depend on external beta-version tester)
3) these tests include a repetition of the SAS validation
that was performed on other platforms making sure that
a high quality product is delivered to the user.

SAS for MAC OS X has highest priority for the SAS
development team. We hope to have it ready within a couple
of weeks from now (assuming that the external tests and
validation are successful).

The SAS page will soon be updated to reflect the latest
status. The OS X release will properly be announced (via
Web or Newsletter).

Sorry that I can not give you an exact release date.
SAS team hopes to finish the final quality checks soon
but (due to past experience) is hesitant to give a new
fixed release date.

Cheers,
 Matthias
