Dear Helpdesk,

I am trying to extract an RGS spectrum for a given radec coordinate through the
combination rgssources-rgsregions-rgsspectrum. So, once i run the rgsproc as
default, i launch "rgssources" and then "rgsregions" with the specific
coordinates (see below). However, the new source (3) is not added in the source
list file. Am I doing something wrong? Following are the commands i used:

rgsproc orders=1 -V 2

rgssources srclist=P0748390901R1S004SRCLI_0000.FIT addusersource=true \
           ra=359.4625 dec=-32.6242 label=ULX

rgsregions srclist=P0748390901R1S004SRCLI_0000.FIT

Thank you in advance,
Ciro

Dear Ciro,

The command

rgssources srclist=P0748390901R1S004SRCLI_0000.FIT addusersource=true \
           ra=359.4625 dec=-32.6242 label=ULX

should add the new source to the source list (1st extension in the file). Please
check
if this is tha case.

To compute the extraction regions for this new sources, you have to call
'rgsregions' with an additional parameter:

rgsregions srclist=P0748390901R1S004SRCLI_0000.FIT procsrcsexpr='LABEL=="ULX"'

Please try it and let me know if you still have problems,

Dear Rosario,

Thank you very much, i ignore the additional command "procsrcsexpr" in
rgsregions which indeed made it working!

All the best,
Ciro
