Hi,
I am using RGS data sets of 107460601 and 107460701. I am a bit confused with
low strength of source spectrum in RGS data sets as shown below (taken from
xspec with output of "show rate").

Net count rate (cts/s) for Spectrum:1  1.150e-01 +/- 2.153e-03 (31.2 % total)
 Spectral data counts: 45455

 Assigned to Data Group 2 and Plot Group 2
Net count rate (cts/s) for Spectrum:2  1.240e-01 +/- 2.128e-03 (33.7 % total)

I doubt that RGSPROC has oversubtracted the background from source+background
spectrum. Please see the source strength in % given above in output of xspec.

Kindly suggest what I can do to improve it.

for both observations,

The background subtraction is correct. The user can check the placement of the
source and background regions following the procedure described in the thread:

It is true that the source count rate is different from one observation to the
other (~ 0.11 and 0.07 cts/s), so it is the percentage with respect to the total
observed count rate.
