Dear XMM-helpdesk colleagues,

the observation 0144090201 was performed in difficult telemetry 
conditions, due to the high flux of the source GRS1915+105. PN was set in 
Burst Mode, MOS in Timing. 
Is it possible that these difficulties with telemetry are also the reason 
for the RGS1 and RGS2 to yield virtually all bad events below \sim 1 keV ?
I am attaching here a plot of RGS data, for illustration.

Dear Andrea, 

I do not think events below 1keV are bad, but simply noise since photons from
the source are heavily extinguised to the a fairly large absorbing column
density.
