Is there any sas routine that can be used to fold a lightcurve with a given
rotational period in a straightforward way?

Dear Dr. Costa,

please try the routine phasecal, which is meant to be used in
conjunction with evselect or xmmselect to perform second order filtering.
To have more information please check SAS online documentation at
http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/external/xmm_sw_cal/sas.shtml

Best regards,

Nora
