Hi.

I am looking for information on the response of the OM with energy
in the various UV filters (UVM1, UVW1, UVW2).

I found information for converting OM fluxes into photometric systems,
but that is not appropriate for my purposes: diffuse emission from
a low density plasma dominated by emission lines and two-photon
continuum.  I would like to be able to convolve predicted spectra 
from plasma emission codes and shock codes through the effective
(filter+QE) bandpasses for comparison for comparison with the OM band 
images.

Is this information available anywhere (preferably in a tabular form)?

Dear Terry, 

The files needed to get the effective transmission for OM filters can be found
in the distribution of the SciSim
(http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/external/xmm_sw_cal/scisim_frame.shtml). 

In particular, the description on which files to use and how to use them is in
http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/scisim/release/latest/help/html/osim/node18.html

Note that there are several versions included in the distribution. The best
representation of the current knowledge is provided by the files in the
directory:

           scisim-3.0.0/data/osim/instr/fm1

BUT you need to replace the file cr_ratio.sptm with the table appended.

One more warning: the alumin.sptm enters three times in the formula, and,
therefore it should go as the 3rd power.
