Hello,
I have some problem with OM data reduction, I was run the omichain task and got
the magnitude of the source in different filters.
I got one frame in imaging mode(5500 s) and another in fast mode(4400 s) except
UVW2 filter. Can I treat both modes as same, means, can I take the average of
magnitudes got from both modes?
And UVW2 filter more than 5 exposure in every obs Id. Should I take average all
the exposure, which I got?

Dear Vinit,

Imaging and Fast are two different modes.

https://xmm-tools.cosmos.esa.int/external/xmm_user_support/documentation/uhb/ommodes.html

You could convert rates from the fast mode to magnitudes using,

http://xmm-tools.cosmos.esa.int/external/xmm_user_support/documentation/sas_usg/USG/ommag.html
http://xmm-tools.cosmos.esa.int/external/sas/current/doc/ommag/index.html

Regarding taking an average, that is up to you to decide if you want to take an
average
or not.
