Full_Name: Pramod Pawar
Submission from: (NULL) (14.139.121.226)

Hi,

This new question is in continuation with my earlier query PR#74621.
After generating the calibrated frames (for ObsID 0506200201) using sas13.5.0, I
was looking at the data. However, out of 15 UVW2 frames, 11 frames had start
time 2007-05-16T12:21:12. The end time was okay. Similar problem can be seen for
obsID 0653510301.

Did I made mistake? Please need your help to sort out this problem.

Dear Pramod Pawar,

thank you for reporting these issues. For 0506200201 there is a problem in the
ODF data themselves. As you can see in the log browser the OM observations were
performed in different filters and in the ODF it appears as if all were
performed in UVW2, at the time of the last exposure, so only exposures S008,
S409, S410, S411 and S412 have the proper information. I will ask the data
expert to see if there is a workaround to correct the ODF information.
For obsID 0653510301 the problem seems to be different, but there is also a
problem with the data, in fact the OM data for this observation were not
processed by the pipeline. We will see anyway if it is possible to process them
manually.

Best regards,

Nora

Dear Pramod Pawar,

with the attached SUM.SAS (edited by hand) and omichain files your analysis of
0653510301 should work. For more details we have to wait for the data expert,
who is on leave until next week.

Best regards,

Nora

In case you are still interested in the data of 1H 0707-495 (ObsID 0506200201),
please find attached the fixed file 1361_0506200201_SCX00000SUM.SAS and below
the comments by the OM Calibration Scientist.

"The odf corresponding to this observation has the non periodic
housekeeping data file (*NPH*) mostly corrupted (the last three
exposures are correct). SAS extracts the start, end time and duration of
any OM exposure from this file. This is done by odfingest and it is
written into the summary file *SUM.SAS. This file is used by different
OM SAS tasks to obtain those times.

For this observation I have been able to correct the *SUM.SAS
summary file so that omichain can process the data correctly.
There is one caveat: the start & end times are not accurate
(within a minute or two). Exposure times and filters are correct
and the data are useful. "

Best regards,

Nora
