Subject: delayed GT CDs
Hello,

Please can you help.

Observations 0109520201 and 0109520401 have the value 'PROCESSING(4)' in
the pipeline status column of the XMM-Newton Observation Log Summary Short
Page. The 2nd of these also has the comment

'Observation affected by a pointing deviation of 0.2 degrees in roll
angle'

on the observation summary page and exposures 006-014 have 0 performed
duration.

Are these two observations usable and if not will they be repeated?

Also the XMM-Newton Observation Log Summary Short Page web page shows the
following 5 observations to have been dispatched over 6 weeks ago, but we
have not yet received them. Please could we have a further copy of the
CDs for each observation, if it is thought that the original CDs are lost
in transit.

Hello Cynthia,

I'm going to investigate what is the problem with
the observations and the CDs. I'll come back to you
asap.

Best,

Dear Cynthia,

the two observations, 0109520201 and 0401, had problems with SAS 5.3.2
and they are still being processed with SAS 5.3.3. They are considered
succesfully observed, so they will not be repeated.
A pointing deviation of 0.2 degrees in roll angle is not a problem.
Therefore the observation is fully usable. Certainly, exposures 6-14
in obs. 0109520401 were not performed due to a R/T contingency.

About the CDs delivery, I am still trying to know what happened. According
to our records they were delivered to Keith. In the mean time you can get
the data through the XMM Science Archive (http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/xsa/).

Best regards,
Eva

P.S. According to our rules, the PI of a proposal (here Keith Mason) needs to
inform us via an e-mail to "xmmpi@xmm.vilspa.esa.es" (with the proposal ID
in the Subject, please) that he agrees to pass his data rights on to another
person.

Only after we have received such an e-mail we can further discuss CD-ROM
deliveries directly to you or discuss in more detail the specific observation
via xmmpi instead of xmmhelp.

Please, take this rule into account for future questions. Many thanks for your
understanding.

Hi again Cynthia,

it seems that we cannot track the delivery problem of the
CDs. Therefore, they will be re-generated and re-delivered
to Keith this week.

Best,
Eva
