Dear Main Pal,

if you are using ObsID 0103861201, then you can not use omsource which is
designed only for image data while this observation only contains grism
exposures. Instead you can use omgsource.

 Best wishes,
Jan-Uwe

Dear Main Pal,

I have done a full run this morning:
1) Initialize the SAS according to start up thread
   http://xmm.esac.esa.int/sas/current/documentation/threads/sas_startup_thread.shtml
When done, the environment variables SAS_ODF and SAS_CCF should point to the
full paths of the files
     0274_0103861201_SCX00000SUM.SAS
and
     ccf.cif
respectively should be defined.

2) created an extra directory, e.g., omgchain and change into that directory.
Run the grism chain with
   omgchain -V 5 >& omgchain.log

3) omgsource

The spectra are extracted from the uncalibrated files in step 2) and stored in
the directory from where omgchain is called. In the same directory you can then
start omgsource for interactive analysis and verification of the extraction.

If the chain crashed, please send me the full file omgchain.log that is produced
in step 2).

 Regards,
Jan-Uwe

Dear Ness,
Sorry for last mail in which I mentioned OMICHAIN. THis was omgchain which shows
some warning.
I have attached the log file for this. The extraction with omgsource does not
show any spectra or image.
Am I right?

Dear Main Pal,

I have done a full run this morning:
1) Initialize the SAS according to start up thread
   http://xmm.esac.esa.int/sas/current/documentation/threads/sas_startup_thread.shtml
When done, the environment variables SAS_ODF and SAS_CCF should point to the

and
     ccf.cif
respectively should be defined.

If the chain crashed, please send me the full file omgchain.log that is produced
in step 2).

Jan-Uwe
