Subject: retrieving the calibration archive
Dear helpdesk,

I have tried to mirror the xmm calibration archive using the rsync
command but it fails with a connection timeout:

hofverberg@eli:~/xmm$ rsync -v -a --delete --delete-after --force
--include=*.CCF --exclude=*/ xmm.esac.esa.int::XMM_RED_CCF /ccf/
rsync: failed to connect to xmm.esac.esa.int: Connection timed out (110)
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(124)
[receiver=3.0.5]

secondly, the webinterface to the helpdesk is down. When clicking the
link I get:

[an error occurred while processing this directive] [an error occurred
while processing this directive]

sincerely
Petter Hofverberg

Dear Petter,

there have been some unexpected problems with RSSD servers this morning, but
they should have been already solved.

Please, try again and if still into trouble let us know it.

Sincerely,

Pedro

Dear Petter,

I have forwarded your question to system administrators. But will you please
confirm that neither of the following links work?

-) ftp://xmm.esac.esa.int/pub/ccf/constituents/

thanks,

Pedro

Dear Pedro,

both those links work. I will proceed by downloading the calibration
data via ftp then.

However, the link on the page
http://xmm2.esac.esa.int/external/xmm_user_support/helpdesk.shtml
to the helpdesk at
http://xmm.esac.esa.int/external/xmm_user_support/xmmhelp_frame.shtml
does not work.

regards
Petter

Petter,

the rsync facility is up and running and the links should also be corrected.

Cheers,

Pedro
