I'm wanting to extract spectra from all three EPIC cameras to make a single
spectrum. What's the best way to go about doing this?

Dear Dr. Sciortino,

My recommendation is that you do not merge the spectra themselves, but
analyze them simultaneously with e.g. XSPEC.

This would imply to extract source and background spectra, arf and rmf
from the three cameras separately.
