Dear,
When I input command " eoiclccorr" to eliminate the background, an error
appeared:

** epiclccorr::arfgen: error (blockNotFound), Could not find block with
qualified name '/home/tiexue/data/top_dir/ccf/EPN_FILTERTRANSX_0014.CCF:FILTER-CALMEDIUM'
in dataset with name '/home/tiexue/data/top_dir/ccf/EPN_FILTERTRANSX_0014.CCF'
** epiclccorr: error (invalidInvocation), Execution failed of arfgen
(arfgen-1.80.1) [xmmsas_20110223_1801-11.0.0]

 Thanks in advance !
 Best Wishes

Hi,

the reason for this message is the applied filter being CALMEDIUM. While the
normal medium filter was used, an onboard calibration source was turned on,
illuminating the entire chip for calibration purposes. This limits the
scientific use of the data as the source spectrum will be contaminated by the on
board calibration source. It would be quite difficult to reconstruct the source
spectrum.

If in spite of this limitation you deem this particular observation useful for
your scientific purposes, please let me know the ObsID so I can investigate a
workaround for the missing calibration file for the CALMEDIUM filter setting.

 Best regards,
Jan-Uwe Ness
