Dear Sir

I have just updated by CCF library.
I am trying to generate an rmf for the observation 0112440301.
I extracted a source spectrum as a pi file and then run

rmfgen format=var rmfset=mos1.rmf spectrumset=mos1.pi threshold=1.0e-6

an error occured

rmfgen:- Executing (routine): rmfgen rmfset='mos1.rmf' threshold=1e-06
withenergybins=no energymin=0 energymax=15 nenergybins=30
spectrumset='mos1.pi' format='var'  -w 3 -V 3
** rmfgen: warning (NoDSSPatterns), There is no PATTERN range info in
the DSS. Assume the full range of patterns has been used.
** rmfgen: error (UnexpectedCcfData), Expected not more than 200
different energies in
`/esis/xan_account/CALDB/data/xmm/cif/EMOS1_REDIST_0034.CCF:CCD_REDISTRIBUTION-1'
but there are 486

I took again the EMOS1_REDIST_0034.CCF file from the XMM ftp site, run
again the procedure
but the error is still there.

By the way the same occured when I extracted the source and background
PI files, and I had to
set the backscale keyword by hand.

Check which parameters are used for rmfgen by default and compare
them to what you have used.

If this does not help you should revise your CCF installation.
