How can I retrieve XMM-Newton EPIC out of field-of-view events from my
observations?
Is there a parameter or flag in emproc or evselect to keep these events
in an event list?

Regards,
 Anne Sansom

Dear Anne,

 I think the best to retrieve 'Out of FOV' events is to use emchain
instead of emproc for your ODFs. Then you can select the 'Out of FOV' events
with eveselect, with expresion=...&&(FLAG & 0x10000)
Please contact us again if you still have questions.

Best regards,

Nora

Hello Nora, thanks for that advice. I tried it, and emchain seems to
find the data OK, but the procedure results in errors. I do not understand
why. Can you help? I attach a verbosity=5 log from emchain.

Regards,
   Anne
