Hello,

I have the following questions regarding the XMM documentations :

1. In the edetect_chain task, there is a link to get the right values of *ecf
(*Energy conversion Factor*) *
for PN and MOS for all filters. But this link is not available.

    http://xmmssc-www.star.le.ac.uk/pubdocs/SSC-LUX-TM-0059.ps.gz

2. In the section "How to extract PN spectra of a point-like source and
associated matrices "
there is link to EPIC status of calibration and data analysis document.
But the link is not
    available.
    http://xmm2.esac.esa.int/docs/documents/CAL-TN-0018.pdf

How can I obtain a copy of these files ?

With Regards,
Jithesh. V

Dear Jithesh,

Thank you for your notice. It will be fixed soon.
You can find the document about the status of EPIC calibration here:

http://xmm2.esac.esa.int/external/xmm_sw_cal/calib/index.shtml

While ECFs for both PN and MOS for all filters are listed here:

http://xmmssc-www.star.le.ac.uk/Catalogue/2XMM/UserGuide_xmmcat.html#TabECFs

These are the values that were used in the 2XMM catalog processing.
Since then, new improved values have been derived.
Correction factors to the values in the previous table are given in:
http://xmmssc-www.star.le.ac.uk/Catalogue/2XMMi-DR3/UserGuide_xmmcat.html#ProblECFs

Furthermore, EPIC PN and MOS flux to count rate conversion for a variety of
standard spectral models are reported at this URL:
http://xmm.esac.esa.int/external/xmm_user_support/documentation/uhb/epicfluxtocr.html

I hope this answers your question.
Regards and sorry again about this inconvenience.
