Hi,

I am trying use xmmselect with a bit complex region file,
including several circles/ellipses + annulei and also excluding some
regions.
Is there a useful doc for the syntax and limitation for region
descriptions?

thanks.

Dear Dr. Dong-Woo Kim,

Please, take a look at the following documents:

The XMM Selector library
http://xmm.esac.esa.int/sas/7.0.0/doc/selectlib/index.html

mask-filter
http://xmm.esac.esa.int/sas/7.0.0/doc/selectlib/node19.html

region-filter
http://xmm.esac.esa.int/sas/7.0.0/doc/selectlib/node20.html

FITS REGION Binary Table Design

I hope this helps!
