Dear XMM Help,

I have received notification that the observations listed below
were scheduled, and at least the first 3 I think were executed.
However, I've only received data for one observations -- BRI1033-0327.
I received the attached email and a CDROM for BRI1033-0327 only.

Could you please send information on how I can obtain the data files for
the other observations?

Thank you,

Sincerely,
Jill Bechtold

Dear Prof Jill Bechtold,

XMM-Newton Observation Data Files (ODF) as well as Pipeline Products (PPS)
as derived from the ODF by the Survey Science Centre (SSC) for one of your
observations are now available. The details for the observation are as
follows:

XMM-Newton Observation Id : 0150870401

XMM-Newton pipeline processing report:

Target name : BRI1033-0327
Observer : Prof Jill Bechtold
Observation date : Dec 20 2002 1:42AM
Observation duration : 31418
Processing date : Jan 16 2003 11:56AM

Details on your observation can be found at:

	http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/cgi-bin/obs_search/selectobs?prpobs=0150870401

The data can be retrieved from the XMM-Newton Science Archive (XSA), accessible
at the following URL:

	http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/xsa/

You need to login as a registered XSA user in order to be able to retrieve
your data. A pre-defined XSA account has been enabled for you, with Username:
jbechtol and Password: fxuZhgsG We recommend you to change the password
as soon as possible, using the "Login/Register" panel of the XSA browser.

A CD-ROM containing the data of your observation is in the process of being
created as well, and will be shipped within a few days. The content of the
CD-ROM identically mirrors the data present in the archive. Future versions
of reprocessed data will be accessible from the XSA only. From the archive
you can also check when the proprietary right period covering your data is
due to expire.

For general XMM-Newton information or details on the structure of the data,
please refer to the XMM-Newton Web Site, which is available at:

	http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es

Should you have any questions or doubts, please do not hesitate to contact
the XMM-Newton HelpDesk (http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/news/xmmhelp_top.html).

Regards,

XMM-Newton SOC

Dear prof. Bechtold,

here your are a summary of the data production status for your observations:

- Obs.#0150870401: ODF and PPS available in the XSA
- Obs.#0150870301: ODF available in the XSA; PPS processing encountered a
problem, which is being investigating
- Obs.#0150870201: ODF available in the XSA, and being processed by SSC
- Obs.#0150870501: ODF not yet available in the XSA. Normally, ODFs are
available in the XSA one-two weeks after an observation is performed

Dear XMMhelp,
I inquired a few weeks ago about the status of our data, and
got the following email.

We'd like to try processsing the ODF data ourselves.

Could you send us the passwords to access the ODF data for
the observations listed below?

Also, could you send us some information on what exactly
went wrong with the PPS processing for Obs.#0150870301,
and what the plan is for solving the problem? Maybe the
easiest thing to do is for you to put us in touch with
the person in charge of resolving the relevant issues.

Thanks very much,
-jill

Dear XMMhelp,
Also, could you please give Matteo Guainazzi permission to
access the ODF files for my program, mentioned in the last email?
He is going to help us figure out what the problem is
with the processing.

Thanks again,
-jill

Dear Jill,

the ODFs of your observations have been sent to Aneta Siemiginowska, as by your
request.

Aneta told me as well that you have never received the details of your XSA
account, which allows you to access your data. If this is indeed the case,
please let me know, and I will send them to you again.

There might be a problem with the e-mail address specified in your XSA account
(which mirrors the address you specified at the XMM-Newton proposal submission
stage). Please, check your XSA account details at your earliest convenience, and
correct them if necessary. In this way you will ensure to be able to receive
future SOC communications concerning your data.

 Regards, Matteo
