Hello,
I extracted lightcurves (both PN and MOS) from a recent observation, but find
lots of regular dips (rate=0) in the lightcurves. I suspect that the instruments
are in the Burst mode during dips. Is it correct? I am not sure because I
remember there is no Burst mode for EPIC/MOS. In addition, will the spectra be
affected?

we would need more information to be able to assess the problem. 
Can you please:
1)  Let us know the obsID? 
2) Send us the full output log of the reduction analysis?
3) Send us the light curves where you see the dips?

Thank you for your promply reply! The obsID is 3620_0851181101. I just  
follow the standard analysis, epchain datamode=BURST/TIMING and then  
use evselect to extract lightcurves. Attached please find an example  
of  lightcurves

Did you run epiclccor? Some of the calibration corrections are applied with
epiclccor. If not, can you 
please try? 

If you still have issues, can you please run again epproc/emproc and send us the
full output log of 
the reduction analysis?
There, we can see if something happened during the reduction and extraction.
