Subject: using spectra from the PPS pipeline
Full_Name: Michael Kuhn
Submission from: (NULL) (193.147.152.102)

I'd like to fit a models to EPIC/MOS1 sources extracted using the PPS pipeline.
This provides PI spectra in files named "SRSPEC". However, I cannot find an RMF
file to use, given that RMF files don't appear to be included in the PPS
products (ftp://xmm.esac.esa.int/pub/odf/data/docs/XMM-SOC-GEN-ICD-0024.pdf) and
there are no canned RMF file for the MOS detectors. So, how do I make use of the
PPS PI spectrum files? (I happen to be using XSPEC for fitting.)

Dear Michael Kuhn,

 does the information provided under:
 https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/xmm-newton/epic-response-files
answer your question?

Best wishes,
