Subject: Inquire about obs_id 0057740301
Dear Helpdesk,

I would like to inquire about the status of the data release for the observation
ID 0057740301, which is the first ~68 ksec set of the total 120ksec assigned to
the program.

In the General Observation Comments section, it says:
"Observation affected for a PMS crash at SOC @2003.003.16.43.32.
QLA files not available yet (under investigation). Results pending.
TM re-processing from CDs will be required; data products delays to be
incurred"

Does this mean that there was a problem with the observations themself and the
observations need to be rescheduled, or that it is only a data packaging problem
?
In the latter case, when do you expect to be able to realese the data ?

Many thanks. Piero Rosati

Dear Piero,

I have forwarded your question to the persons reponsible for
the data reprocessing. In principle, the problem reported in
the web page you mention is only a problem with the files
created on ground, on our local computers. Therefore
there should be no need to re-schedule the observations as
all the data is in the raw telemetry received from the
satellite and saved on ground.

I will let you know as soon as I have an answer about the
status of the reprocessing.

Please, in the future, use the xmmpi@xmm.vilspa.esa.es
for questions regarding your observations

With best regards

Maria
