Dear friends,

I believe the 2 proposals noted in the subject (030691 and 030717), on
which I'm PI and observing PI, respectively, have now been observed
(in August). I wonder when I will be able to get data products (at
the very least raw data). This is particularly important for the
first of those observations (030691) because very recently the Chandra
panel approved the observation of this same source for GTO, and this
could take place at any time - we (me, XMM) are therefore in danger of
being 'scooped', which would be extremely silly especially since the
data have already (I believe) been collected.

Also, could you please let me know when I might expect to receive the
funds associated with these observations?

Thanks very much,
Fernando

Dear Fernando,

both observations have been performed successfully. The ODFs are
ready and you could download them from XSA, and reduce them with SAS.
If you prefer to wait for the pipeline products (PPS), they should be
ready in one or two weeks.
On the other hand XMM-Newton does not offer funds to PIs of proposals,
please check Policies and Procedures at:

Best regards,

Nora
