 firstly, apologies for the delay.

The answer to your question with more background information can be found in a
technical note available under:
 http://xmm2.esac.esa.int/docs/documents/CAL-TN-0018.pdf

The Gain and CTI are currently known to the extent that the line energy can be
determined with an uncertainty of 5 eV over the full energy range for all
EPIC-MOS imaging modes and with an uncertainty of 12 eV over the full energy
range for all EPICpn imaging modes.
