Hi,

This is an addendum to helpdesk request 10852. First, apologies for a
premature helpdesk request - a closer look at the plot produced by calview (and
not just the data) shows me that the difference in the two choices are 'EE by
PSF integration' and 'EE by CCF'. Second, it appears I'll want to create the
radial PSF plot myself from the 2D fits images returned by the PSF viewable -
could you let me know the pixel size of these 221 by 221 images for the EXTENDED
accuracy model, please?

Thanks again, and sorry for the double ticket.

-Olivia

Dear Olivia,

There is no problem with the double ticket, I have already closed
your first one, thank you very much for letting us know that you
solved it !.

With regard to your second question:

you can read the Calibration Access and Data Handbook (i.e. the calview
document) for more information, it is available in our web page:

http://xmm.vilspa.esa.es/external/xmm_sw_cal/calib/documentation.shtml#General

However !, I am not sure that the part relevant to you is updated, so I have
forwarded your question to calibration experts and will let you know
as soon as I get an answer

Hope this helps on the mean time

Best wishes and apologizes for my delay in the answer

Maria

Dear Olivia,

The calibration team have answer my question. Indeed the Calview handbook
is not updated and they have written an internal report to modify it.

On the mean time they ask me to tell you that we believe the output
PSF to be 1.0 arcseconds per image pixel in EXTENDED mode.

Hope this helps you with your analysis

Best wishes

Maria
