We need only one 70 m.. off-set pointing to do our science, i.e. we do not need
the multi-pointing mode. Is there a way of proposing a single pointing, where we
want an offset in the dispersion direction of 30 arcsec? What is the maximum
value, 1 arcmin?

Dear Dr. Nevalainen,

There is no particular way to specify that type of observation. Please just
describe it in the scientific justification.

As for the maximum offset distance, there is no limit, apart from the decrease
in effective area when going to large offsets. For distances ~< 1 arcmin this
decrease is nearly negligible.

I can not easily find this information: what is the wavelength the shift
if we use 1 arcmin offset in the dispersion direction?
